From Jamaica to Qatar: Eleven (11) Year Old Dayshawn Clarke's Football Journey
A Jamaican Defender Making His Mark in Qatar In the increasingly multicultural football landscape of Qatar, young players from around the world are finding opportunities to develop their talent, compete at a high level and dream about where the beautiful game might take them.
Among them is Dayshawn Clake, a Jamaican student living and studying in Qatar
who is also pursuing his passion for football as a centre-back for BK Sporting in
the Qatar Junior Premier League (JPL).
For Clake, football represents more than simply a sport. It is an opportunity to
represent his Jamaican roots, develop as a young athlete and experience a different
football culture thousands of kilometres from home.
